Non-registered users search plugins
Wed, 16 January 2008 14:01:00 GMT
Non-registered users generated search plugins will no longer be added to the public list. Once a plugin has been created and installed it will be removed. Registered users search plugins will be added to the public list unless marked otherwise. Any problems let me know.

Contact registered users about search plugins
Thurs, 08 November 2007 16:01:00 GMT
There is now an opt-in for registered users to allow people to email them about problems with their public search plugins. If you wish to activate this feature go to the 'Settings' page, when logged in, and tick the checkbox. If this feature is activated then a 'C' will appear next to your public search plugins, which, when clicked, will allow someone to send you an email via a form.

searchplugins.net back up
Wed, 18 Apr 2007 16:47:55 GMT
I have switched web hosts back to Webhost4Life as my previous webhost, Webfusion, was a bit too keen on securely locking down ASP.Net usage. The main feature to return now is the website favicon auto-detection when generating plugins. Hopefully this is the last time I will need to switch web hosts.

Features Update
Sat, 07 Apr 2007 20:31:20 GMT
I have added two new features. The first one lets you use non-Latin based languages in the title of your search plugin (e.g. Cyrillic) when using the plugin generator. The only known problem with this is if you edit the plugin you will need to add the title back in. You can also upload, (only registered users can upload), Mozsearch compatible plugins and they will be converted to the OpenSearch format, not all of the Mozsearch parameters are supported. Feed back and / or bug reports would be useful for both features.

IE7Pro
Wed, 21 Mar 2007 09:04:00 GMT
If you use IE7 but like some of the features found in Opera and Firefox then you'll need to take a look at IE7Pro. This is an add-on for IE7 which adds mouse gestures, address bar searching, super drag&drop, ad filtering and a few more features which are found in 'rival' browsers.
